No one ever said we couldn't afford 5 million up front. We were just choosing not to offer it, not necessarily the same thing. If (still big if) this comes off it seems obvious to me we had Adams lined up but stalled it to see if we could get Beto instead. Especially given there might not actually be a massive difference in up front payment.

I mean this deal can still be €30m+ addons and have an initial payment less than 5m.

Good is subjective.

Hes a big strong lad, who will put himself about, good feet for a big man, but not technically brilliant.

Will at times give off competition winner vibes.

Im concerned with his pedigree, but I think he has the potential to be a real fans favourite due to his battling qualities.
