Does anyone even understand what this means?

I doubt Dyche is just going to yolo the centre of his defence. He’ll have a plan, as he will for every position. Will then be up to the club to execute on it.

Mina and Coady have left and currently we have three CBs in Keane Holgate Godfrey plus returning loanees in Branthwaite and Gibson. I doubt he’s said to them all ‘it’s just up for grabs lads’
I think it means we are gonna try and punt Holgate, Branflakes and Godfrey, whether we can is up for grabs.

Maybe it's an "I'll work with what I've got if I have to" scenario depending on where we spend our money.

You also missed Tarkowski off your list.

Yeah sort of had him nailed down for one of the starting spots in my head so much that I didn’t even write his name down ha.

On paper there’s enough there for two starting CBs and reserves. Tarkowski obviously, Branthwaite is highly rated, Godfrey at one time was valued highly and Keane was an England international.

It’s just when you actually watch Keane Godfrey Holgate play football it prompts the need for all of them to leave and two new CBs to come in.

Everyone in our squad can be replaced

We have no quality whatsoever

Be very difficult to effectively replace Pickford (and extremely difficult to improve on him) without spending a lot of money, and even then goalkeepers of that quality probably would want European football. He’s one of the few players of genuine quality we have.

On the topic of defensive midfielders I saw we were also linked to batista mendy today

Good find that. Strange place for it to be reported. I quite like him at Angers. Combative, loves a tackle but a decent forward passer, which isn't always the case with that kind of player.

May not be ready for the step up to the PL, but could be a bargain after Angers' relegation.

Leicester just released this lot. All available on a free.

Çağlar Söyüncü
Youri Tielemans
Daniel Amartey
Nampalys Mendy
Ryan Bertrand
Ayoze Perez
Tete
Tielemans is the only decent one there and he'll be wanted by loads of clubs

Isn't this fun spending hours exchanging rubbish messages instead of dreading the drop and our impending doom. One of our main tasks will be to suitably reward Bill for his vital role in our escape.

If we get offered £50m you can’t turn that down.

I’m sure somewhere, in this massive world of ours, there’s a goalkeeper that could be found

The article says Dyche doesn't see Holgate and Godfrey as CBs and he wants to assess Branthwaite in pre-season.

My leeds fan mate is convinced that Harrison is a really good winger. Personally this is my take on him. He's not good enough to make Everton better.

I feel he is the type of player who has good stats over the last 3 seasons or so because of how Leeds play. Leeds would often bomb the full backs on and this would open space for Harrison regularly and with the multiple chances he would get he would be very inconsistent.

I think he's an OK player, but if he played for a team who play a more conventional style, his numbers would go down significantly. I don't think he improves Everton, possibly good enough as a rotation option with what we have now, but we need ready made players to improve our team in the attacking positions. I would much sooner go for Harvey Barnes from Leicester. So Harrison .... not for me.
