Good to finally see a striker come in and one that fits the profile. But we still need a right wing/creative player, midfielder, left back and centre back. No way we get all of these. Not convinced Young can actually do a season or be anything more than a squad player.

Can’t say we haven’t strengthened the attacking positions. It’s a shame the midfield and defence require so much work.

The midfield we could get away with just playing it correctly, using Garner as the linchpin..

As for the defence, am starting to get Leeds vibes from last season now...

Gnonto bid is done we wont be going back in for him, wharton same hasnt really been any talk of us looking at him since early in the window

I said it yesterday but those are not viable left back options.

It would be nice to have different / better options for all other positions but if you want to raise the level of your starting 11 left back would be the first place to start.

The quality of both fullback positions is so poor I'd be tempted to play 3 at the back. Until I saw the quality of the centrebacks.

We are a great club with a rich history and a brilliant stadium on the magnificent Liverpool waterfront.... but some of our 'supporters' these days are just beyond the pale. To boo and abuse a player for trying to carry on after enduring a cheek/eye injury... it doesn't get more daft than that. And the thing is, it's hardly likely to inspire anyone to play better.
