Speaks volumes about the state of thingsMiffed that Brentford are gonna end up with Bakayoko. Should've been all over that....
"We tried". Yawn.Reckon tomorrow is gonna be as boring as last deadline day.
You'd swap Gana and Doucs for Dele and Philips thoughKelvin Phillips on loan would improve our depth but Baggzio is not wrong in his assessment. He is a hard running, high effort guy but technically he is pretty average. He is like Garner and Harrison (and the outgoing, much maligned Iwobi) in the sense that he will give everyone best endeavours if played out of position in emergencies which matters to us.
Almost definitely.Reckon tomorrow is gonna be as boring as last deadline day.
Those are fair points but you can just establish his quality by the impact he exuded at leeds , when he was injured the likelihood of them winning a game was greatly reduced. He'd definitely bolster our squad for sureLinked to Kalvin Phillips there now too. I’ll say two things, firstly he’d be very good for us and would add to our midfield.
That being said though as a non English fan he and Rice are two of the most overrated midfielders in history, I can’t see how so many are convinced that both are elite level. Rice is obviously better but that’s irrelevant to the conversation here.
I genuinely think Phillips benefitted the same way Tom Davies did here, honestly if he didn’t look like a bit of a scruff he’d have never made it even onto City’s radar. Never a £50m player, another Danny Drinkwater signing for Chelsea, it was never gonna work out.
Again good for us and would be delighted to sign him because he’s a top half PL midfielder but thats about it.
Was the key man in mid for leeds was the one who started the play, not sure why you compare him to iwobi and harrison is nothing like them. Also not saying he is up to the standard of city but would do well here imoKelvin Phillips on loan would improve our depth but Baggzio is not wrong in his assessment. He is a hard running, high effort guy but technically he is pretty average. He is like Garner and Harrison (and the outgoing, much maligned Iwobi) in the sense that he will give everyone best endeavours if played out of position in emergencies which matters to us.
