Summer transfer window 2023

So the issue isn’t number of players, it’s how much we’ve spent? Shall we go and blam another half a bill on unmitigated garbage do you can scream about how we’ve won the window as you squirt into your 2014 away sock? Then we can have another 5 years or so of utter meltdowns on here after the aforementioned garbage stinks the gaff out and drains us of year after year of inflated wages.
Pipe down Bill we're bored of it. Haven't you got a West End production to run?

Come on mate to early to process this. I'm astill at the acceptance stage 😉

Moshiri is absolutely killing us. Based on both January and this summer it’s clear that he’s asset stripping us and not reinvesting into the squad. We’re short in centre mid and at centre back, and if we get a couple of injuries to key players then the championship beckons. We won’t keep getting away with it.

Completely drained trying to support this mess.

Ramos!!!
Just imagine.....he'd love it just to wind up the RS....

Recently turned down £400k a week from Saudi, so wages shouldn't be an issue.

So we’ve removed from the wage bill/generated income this summer from;
Townsend (50k wages)
Mina (110k wages)
Coady (50k wages)
Vinagre (20k wages)
Maupay ((50k wages)
Iwobi (100k wages+ £20m fee)
Cannon (£7m transfer fee)
Simms (£6m transfer fee)
Davies (£25k wages)
Nkounkou (£4m transfer fee)
Begovic (20k wages)
Holgate (30k wages)
Samuels Smith (£4m wages)
Plus £2.5m from the Stones deal.

That’s around 450k a week (£20 million) off the wage bill and £40m brought in through transfer fees.
We’ve only brought in Danjuma, Beto, Young, Chermiti and Harrison. Combined wages £250k? Total fees £35-40m? Regardless of the quality of the deals we’ve done, our wage bill has been significantly cut and the majority of those who have left weren’t playing first team football.

Short term, we’re short of quality in starters/back up options in defence, but our attacking threat is better than last season. I’m confident that Harrison, Danjuma and Beto will score more this season than Iwobi, DCL and Gray did last season. Goals win games.

Why. Is. Everyone. Acting. Like. The. Window. Only. Consists. Of. Today? These. Are. The. Same. Cryarses. Who. Moan. We. Don’t. Do. Business. Early. Enough. Now. They’re. Moaning. Because. We’ve. Done. It. All.
I'm glad we ousted some dregs but our squad is extremely thin , I'd rather have mediocre players than none and have decent players like. Garner foisted in positions that detract from his skills. Also we're an injury away from Keane or Godfrey featuring regularly. We haven't done enough business that's the issue

if we're playing accountants, then can we not think that stadium won't pay for its self, especially now Usmanov aint funding Moshiri anymore. we're hamstrung until its built and we get the financial investigation of our backs. To bring in 5 players and get some heavy earners off the books, its not end of the world... its actually quite ok
It's preparation for the Championship. Reduce the wage bill, we've about a dozen players out of contract in a year's time. If we go down, which is the gamble here, they've reduced our liabilities. With the exception of the forward line we're weaker in every part of the park than last season. The season we finished 17th.

Ramos or Keane...?

GET HIM IN FFS!!

He'll sign just to pi$$ the RS off

No. We have no money. We have more players out of contract next year. We will need to find money to buy the loanees or replace them. We have to pay for the stadium. We have not managed to sign one really valuable asset this summer that we could sell in an emergency.

So kindly [Poor language removed] with your weird putdowns. It is relevant that they are only loans when we are essentially asset stripping.
So, the answer to us not having money is to spend more money?

Again: Our recent issues have revolved around overpaying for average (at best) players and having them drain our finances for years on end. We are finally, albeit not through choice, I’m sure, ending that cycle by addressing short-term needs in a manner which won’t put us in any further immediate financial danger or see us fall (further) afoul of FFP.

The situation is awful, mate, but we can’t ignore it just because we want some shiny, new TDD toys.
