Summer transfer window 2023

For me 28 is too old for us to spend any money on, the mess we're in is from signing guys in their late 20s for big fees that we'll never recoup. 25/26 should be the limit if you're going to get any sell-on value. Did it right last summer- spent money on players 25 or less and took older guys on frees and loans. I don't know if that's a policy but it should be.
Agreed
Tired of the lack of sell-on value and higher wages etc
Brands said previously that he'd rather pay a little extra in fee for younger player with sell on value as well as being on a lower wage, think he was spot on but too many chefs spoilt the broth there

Dyche hasn't a great record with younger players though... playing Maupay over Simms consistently for e.g.

Torino ready to sell Antonio Sarabia for £4m-plus discount as Everton transfer news emerges in Italy

Torino Granata has reported that Torino striker Tonny Sanabria is available for transfer this summer amid interest from Everton.

The Italian outlet has reported (15 June) that Sanabria could be available for just over £17million, a discount considering the club values him at £21million.
Saw that article earlier
What a ridiculously worded headline that is

Inflating a crap player's value to 21 million then saying you'll take 17m to make it seem like you are offering a discount when in actual fact he's worth about half that.....what club would be stupid enough to fall for that?
"Maupay is valued at £25mil. But if you pay us up front we will take £5mil. Come on! £20mil discount! You know it makes sense!"

he's 28
not the fastest but would get points from set pieces alone
Would cost too much though so better spending what little we have elsewhere
I think he's just always looked like a happy player at his club, that will comfortably play out his career there...

That 'Bella-kotchap' would be a good long term signing. if we could just splash the cash like that..

Gyokeres would be perfect for us IMO.

I'd love Ward-Prowse, I really rate him and think he'd be a fan favourite in no time.

Just need to work out how we can get them to join us and how we afford them.
If this was the NFL and you could run out a new set of players for corners I'd love to have Ward-Prowse but there's this nasty little catch where he has to contribute in open play too and he's absolutely horrendous at that part.

Ward-Prowse Is the type pf deal got us on this mess, will be over priced. Not really a fan of harrison either and unsure about the lad at coventry just hope the price for him aint to high if the club is looking at him.

Would prefer Adarabioyo at fulham last year of deal, i still hope we can sell one of the cb at the club.

Why is that mad? He's crap and why he hasn't really been linked with a bigger club ever
He’s crap compared to who? I’d have him over any of our midfield, think he’s out performed any of our players in terms of goals assists in the last 3 seasons yes he’s 28 now 29 later this year but someone like him would be good in our team and probably help develop garner as well. Luckily you think he’s crap cause it would be a dream if we got him.
