From what I read, they have made "inquiries", same as us and other clubs, they have the Maddison money now, so can possibly move quickly. But if your the players agent and you know there is interest from the premier league surely you wait and see if that interest firms up, before jumping at the chance to go to Leicester?

If FFP rules stay the same these things are just going to be cyclical, we had our go at spending our way to the European places and after a few years had to drastically tighten our belts, likely the same will happen to Villa in a few years with the spending they're doing and more importantly the wages they're taking on, they'll probably have to tighten their belts about the same time we clear our FFP worries and with the stadium revenues have another crack ourselves, rinse repeat.
Would have to be all of his wages, or keep him in the market for a sale.

Horrible isn't it, we'd probably accept anything in the region of 5-10 mil for him at this point but 1, Andre isn't gonna half his wages and 2, if we do just bend at let him go out on loan then it'll only cost Lille about 3 mil in wages plus a small loan fee.

I could see that, we basically sell Gomes for £6m and then give him all that money and just write off the final year of his contract.
