It’s pointless making out teams like Leeds are unbeatable titans of the game and inventing crackpot scenarios in your head like Allardyce leading them on a 4 game winning streak, I agree, but it certainly isn’t pointless to be worried about this stinking team being relegated. It’s a very realistic concern actually. It’s like if I was out shopping and there was a knife wielding maniac running around stabbing people, should I just say “well he hasn’t stabbed me so I guess I should just carry on as normal and not worry about the possibility until it happens”. Or would it make more sense to be alert to the threat?

Nobody is saying “we are down”, why do you keep saying this? But we might go down. It is a possibility whether you like it or not.

They aren’t, who has said this? If people think we’re going to go down then that’s their opinion. I think if we go into the season with this squad as it is now, we will go down. That’s not saying WE ARE DOWN is it?

With our current squad we could go down. It is slightly weaker than we finished the season and we were a single goal away from going down instead of Leicester.

The squad we have at the beginning of the season and the end of August will determine how likely we are to survive. No one can possibly be sure how that will turn out. We could end up much stronger or even weaker than we are currently, none of us know right now. Recruitment has not exactly been a strength in recent times, and we don't have a goalscorer right now.

But it's clearly fair to say we could be in trouble if we don't strengthen.

Yes it's still early but the summer goes in quickly. Pre-season starts next week and things pick up from there.

I judge the recruitment both at game 1 and the end of August. We can't afford to start the season as unprepared as last year. Not having an available forward week one was not good enough.

Tell us again how many people you manage and the only reason we struggled last year was because the players were being managed incorrectly.

Thankfully there are only 3 league games in August this year and not 5 !
