The academy does this with players year in year out though. I was surprised and disappointed to hear we might let him go permanently, and I would prefer him to get a championship loan then re-assess as he's fairly highly thought of, but in perspective, he's coming up for 21 and probably nowhere near consideration for PL football.If they reject young players before the manager has even trained with them...I'd say we're in a mess,but then we know that already.
He's only 14 months younger than Onana so about the same age as Onana was when he signed, is he anywhere close to Onana? Because that's what it takes to be a PL player these days. If he's judged to not be on that trajectory then take the money I guess.
