Summer transfer window 2023

I don't have a problem with players leaving on a free at the end of their contract. It is their choice and the club's fault for not managing the situation better. The bottom line is Leicester should have sold Tielemans 2 years ago when he refused a contract. But agreeing to join Everton and turning up for the medical and then going to Spurs at the last minute is effectively telling EFC that he got a better offer and he is taking it. He can't come crawling back and say- now that no other club wants me that Everton is suddenly the club I want to play for.
Yep it’s like your bird running off with someone else and then trying to crawl back to you. Not having any of that - if we sign him on loan after that fiasco which nearly contributed to us being relegated than we are a small club.

1: The accounts are not the same as the calculations used for FFP. For example womans team/stadium costs and more (as @catcherintherye said) are not included for FFP. So anyone using the accounts as FFP numbers is incorrect.

2: Every single year the accounts have been approved by the premier league. The premier league in addition were supposedly ratifying each and every transfer deal so they were in effect doubley signing off the accounts as they approved on a per deal basis. In addition, it now appears as though the accounts were fine aside from a single suspicuous tax point.
Where did that last part come from? Because in the Q&A with the club, the club directly said not. Whether you believe them or not as they have ‘form’ is another matter but where the news come from that we were getting our transfers ratified?

How? Zat has previously claimed that we can spend loads of money this summer without sales. I will wait and see if reality reflects that statement, I don’t understand how that’s contradicting anything.

No. Ive said under FFP rules we can.

What part of that seems to be so incredibly challenging for you to understand?

You dont understand Mike.

What they are saying is that we CAN spend 200m on players, we just dont want to.

We are out there trying to sell Lewis Warrington for 2million cos we are loaded.

KEEP UP MIKE.

People will start to believe you really are this dumb, you know?

Is this the report you’re referring to? Because according to this we were way over the £105m in 2021. To bring that below the £105m over 3 years we will still need to be in profit this year as well as 2022/23 which we should be near or thereabouts to.

Fk me youre quoting Esk now lol

And you’re quoting nobody. You’re literally just hoping and guessing.

How much do you think we’ll spend without sales?

Why can’t we spend the Gordon and Kean money? That wouldn’t be Moshiri losing money. We should at least be able to spend that £90m or so shouldn’t we?
Who says that wouldnt be Moshiri losing money? Until anyone has seen the 2022/23 books AND Moshiris costs for building the stadium you have no idea how much Moshiri is making. We made a profit on player trading last year and still lost 45 million.

Your statement was that "It’s based on a rolling 3 years, we were referred because we lost £372m over 3 years.". Which then you disagreed with because we all know thats absurd.
"We can’t subtract anything, they are already submitted and accounted for profit/loss figures." Blatantly false.
"The P/L figures we can see on the officially published accounts are the ones used for FFP calculations." Even more blatantly false.

So then, you disagreed with the PL, every news source, and all of the experts, that we have been under 105m FFP for those 3 years(and were referred for a tax charge), insisting we were instead 267 million OVER without punishment. Then, tried to throw up a straw man to move it from FFP matters to whether we will actually spend, which are two different matters. "I don’t understand what the point is. Are you trying to say we’re able to spend a fortune this summer or something?"

We have no FFP restrictions on spending this year. We have "Moshiri doesnt want to lose money" restrictions on spending as anyone paying attention knows. The actual FFP numbers have been posted many times recently, you can search for them. Chelsea lost 552m over the same period. 11 clubs lost more than 105m. P&L is not FFP or anywhere close to it.

Spot on.

I dont have to tell the king of moving goalposts.

I can feel it about to happen....

I suspect this also mate.

Dear God.
