Unpopular opinion but I'd consider any big offers for Pickford.

He's been great last couple of seasons and won us important games/points.

But I just think a really big offer (Chelsea, Spurs, Utd) could get us the striker/winger we need.

The other thing I'd say his distribution (one of his biggest assets) is less important in Dyche set up.

Same goes for Onana if we got really big offer.

Don't half hate posts like this you know.

He's one of the only consistently good players in our squad, we should under no circumstances look to sell him.

I get we need other positions filling, but if we sell Pickford we then need a goalkeeper as good, which we just aren't getting

Disagree, he shouldn't, what if he gets sacked next season then we are stuck with Dyches signings. It should be driven by Thelwell as he should know what we need as that's his job.

He should choose the players to fit A system and then employ managers that work within it with the players available.

James Rodriguez an Ancelotti signing, Ancelotti leaves we hire Benitez, Benitez tells him he isn't in his plans. 200K a week down the swanny for a player that wont be used.

Rondon, Benitez signing, Lampard manager Rondon not in his plans, rinse and repeat BTW all this while we have DoF which is criminal.
I see your point, but we've been changing managers because the cant get a tune out of our unbalanced squad. At some point we have to try stability and help the manager with that by getting in his type of player.

Valid point but hate seems bit strong for someone having different opinion.

Under no circumstances? So you wouldn't sell for £100m, £200m, £600m?

The unbalanced squad is because 4-5 managers have cherry picked certain players.
That's fine if you don't use the DoF role, but if you do then it becomes................well an Everton squad really.

The DoF should defining what type of team we are not just first team but through the whole academy system. Tika Tak, high press, long ball whatever it maybe.
He then should scout players to fit the system and hire a manager that suits and can work with the players available.

Its pointless buying Coady for instance if the next manager is going to play a high line.
Or Signing Neal Maupay if the manager is going to play hoofball.
Or building a team around Doucoure if he wants to play possession football

That's just being ridiculous though init, because that's never in a million years going to happen.

Your wanting to sell him, which would get us around what 30/40m?

How are we getting a striker winger and "very good" goalkeeper for that price? ( We aren't to answer the question )

England's number one keeper is worth £30-40m?

We saw what happened to Leicester when they failed to replace Schmeichel properly. The same would happen to us imo.

If I could "like" this twice I would.

No because first the price you quoted is unrealistic second Pickford saved us for two seasons in a row. He is here to stay.

My post said 'a really big offer'.

£30-40m isn't a really big offer.

p.s. He's not priceless, no one is.
Look at Leicester when they failed to replace their first choice keeper. You are asking for relegation if you want to sell our keeper.

Id take the ones in bold.

Isnt it amusing. Yet the same posters slate him almost daily. Id only sell if the bid was £75mil+ as with the 20% profit clause we'd double our money at £75mil.

Imagine selling him and signing Bakayoko, Pino, Johnson or Chukwueze.

Massive difference.
The problem with a lot these players is. They ain’t dyche type players. Are there lies the problem. It will always be aggression and physicality and experience over youth and talent
