Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Think he’d be a proper Everton number 9, works hard, strong, pacy.

Hits the ball with meaning as well. Only concern is I’ve never seen him carry it on into the late stages. He seems to come off early every game. Maybe still getting used to the league.

My thoughts aswell, he flags around 70th minute mark so his fitness isn't there for 90 minutes at prem level if there's a game every 3-4 days. Was taken off at 1-1 yesteday.

However he's hit double figures, hold up play in poor team is really good and mobile so could do much worse signing replacement for DCL which is what he would be.

He's been linked with plenty in top half so have to see how things pan out. Would he choose this club over Brighton or even West Ham for example?

To be a broken record, we have 12 or so players out of contract this Summer, we REALLY cant buy/loan 12 new players im afraid.

Hes been great recently, never shown any signs of showing his age and we would be silly not to tie him down for another year.

Now, ive said this in Jan 2025, that view might not hold, for all you future vaulters out there.

We NEED 12 new players.

We will sign 10+ new players.

Currently we have
Broja (striker)
Lindstrom MF
Harrison MF
Mangala MF
Alcaraz MF

We've used these 5 quite a lot, besides Broja through injury and Alcaraz who turned up in January. So Mangala is out for 12 months and that's very sad, we were never spending £40m on him though.
Seems the support are over the moon with Alcaraz and want him signed and starting every week.

Would Alcaraz be part of your 10? Same goes for including loans next season as part of the 10?

I'll be amazed if we go out and pay money for 3 players that are all starters from the off. Unless we sell Beto and have our hand forced to buy a first choice striker.

Gana hasn't signed yet so far as I know, and someone could turn up with a big bid for Branthwaite or O'Brien and really stuff us with needing cover.

I'll keep saying it, we're in real trouble. We've been lucky to get clear of relegation as early as we have, instead of that threat we've got room to see the next iceberg on the horizon.

Doucoure MF
Young MF/DF
Gana MF undecided

We could be looking at Garner and Armstrong as our only non advanced midfielders yet. (I'd overlooked Tim Iroegbunam)

He goes out and signs a Carsley type, a Fellaini and then an Arteta type then great - but we have to be realistic here. Moyes will find a bit of value and paper over a few cracks chasms grand canyons, but the sheer scale of the task is so massive that I expect a bit of disappointment.

People think sign means pay money for.

It doesnt.

This is what our squad looks like, currently, on the 1st July.

Goalkeepers
Jordan Pickford (HG)

Right Backs
Nathan Patterson

Left Backs
Vitaliy Mykolenko

Centre Backs
Jarrad Branthwaite (HG)
James Tarkowski (HG)
Jake O'Brien

Midfield
James Garner (HG)
Tim Iroegbunam (UA)
Iliman Ndiaye (HG)

Wide Forwards
Dwight McNeil (HG)

Strikers
Youssef Chermiti (UA)
Beto

Total players: 12

If people think we arent going to SIGN 12 new players, then ive got a bridge to sell them.

For avoidance of doubt, if Gana was to sign a new contract, I consider that 1 of the 12 new players we need.

People see the word sign and thinks its mean something different.
