Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Hanza Igamane been linked with Everton on multiple outlets just scored the winner for Rangers in the Old Firm

….terrific goal but the fact he was substitute for an Old Firm game and Cyriel Dressers is selected ahead of him says lots. £20m for a player they had bought for a fraction of that last summer. Hopefully it was Moyes who pulled the plug on that bit of business.

Nothing more than striker rotation, he started the last game and Dressers has scored a couple more than him.

But if we are offering extensions to Doucoure £130k and Keane £75k a week you are seriously hamstringing this club for PSR, that in itself will cost the club £10.6m next season, 5% of the clubs yearly revenue on 2 players who don`t really offer much.
Agree with their transfer fees and wages those two have cost us close to 120 million over the last six years we have to get more for our money.

I agree, you`d think Harrison Armstrong will come back stronger for his loan away, Harry Tyrer also well thought of at Blackpool and should be the natural successor to Joao Virginia who just needs to go and play.

Of those leaving on loan and out of contract I would only retain Alcaraz and Gana Gueye, happily wave goodbye to Dom, Doucoure, Lindstrom, Harrison, Broja, Keane, Virginia, Ashley Young, Coleman & Begovic.

What will that leave?

GK
1 Pickford
2 Tyrer
3 Crellin

RB
1 Patterson
2

CB
1 Tarkowski
2 Branthwaite
3 O`Brien (Depending on where Moyes sees him next season)
4

LB
1 Mykolenko
2

CM
1 Gueye
2 Garner
3 Iroebugnam
4 Armstrong

LM
1 NDaiye
2 McNeil

AM (10)
1 Alcaraz
2

RM
1
2

ST
1 Beto (Although I`d sell)
2 Chermiti

Squad of 16, 8 or 9 needed but only 2 or 3 will need to be 1st choice quality and the rest can be competitve back up players or young developments.

RM/RW and ST is the most obvious we need good quality and I can`t wait to see Alcaraz and NDaiye in the same team.
Agreed on the outs. But I reckon they'll end up giving extensions to at least Doucoure (2 year deal on lesser terms), whilst loaning one of Harrison or Lindstrom again. Personally I'd move on from the pair of them, and also from Doucoure. The latter in particular gets a "thanks for your service and for the Bournemouth goal", but it's time we moved on from an attacking mid who can't pick a pass.

The DCL situation could actually be interesting now due to his injury. No idea what'll happen there. He won't be getting north of £100k p/w from anyone that's for sure.

I really would rather see the back of players like Keane and Doucoure. Even without going into their current ability I feel like they just have a lot of negativity attached to them. You know most of us are groaning when we see either on the team sheet. Doucoure has had his moments even recently but he's such a liability when he's not having those moments that it drags the team down too much.

His attempted through ball that went straight to their defender was awful yesterday

Suppose if DCL is on a free then he may still be worth it at a high wage. Each 50k in weekly wage is 2.6m a year.

So do you spend 15m on a striker who will take 70k - or spend that transfer on 120k a week for a 'free' player ? Both deals end up being in the same ball park.
