Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

There has been much talk about players out of contract, but I actually think Moyes is also looking at and making decisions on in contract players and a pecking order going forward.

It’s interesting to think who is likely guaranteed to start the first game in BMD for me it’s only:

Pickford
Branthwaite (if still here).
Tarkowski
N’Diaye

*maybe Idrissa but no guarantees at 35/36

Everyone else I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not in the team, loaned out or moved on.

O'Brien ?

I think he would to be honest, he has his head screwed on Jake and he will have his eye on the Branthwaite spot long term. Also think he’d play games - I just don’t think he’s guaranteed to be on the team sheet, like the other 4 I mentioned.

Ready for pelters here but I don't think O'Brien has looked as assured without Lindstrom in front of him, also tbf he has faced the top two teams in the league the last two times.

I’m like you mate, Jake’s done well, but I don’t think he’s been as amazing as people make out objectively, he’s had a lot of he.p from wingers as well. I think he’s been the poster boy for the post Dyche era and a great example to beat him with

Like Lescott before him he’s doing well at a pinch at full back, will help acclimatise to the PL but ultimately he’s not a full back and his future won’t be there.

Everyone has been or will be linked to him. Imo he ends up at United but regardless the odds of him coming here are slim to none.
Hard to know if he ends up there. If the finances are what they say they are at Man United they probably will have to look into offloading a few before forking out the likes of 40m. By the time that happens Delap will probably be gone somewhere else

Reckon City will buy him back for £30 and then flog him for £40+ imo.
