Player Valuation: £8m
Attendance: 46,990
Big crowd, all paying fans at the game buying lager and pies as well.
Can someone, anyone, this is a quest not exclusive to the anti-Kirkby/KEIOC mafioso's find out when Goodison last held a match with an attendance over the figure quoted above please.

The next development was to convert Goodison to an all seater stadium following the Taylor Report and involved seating the paddock, enclosure and the Gwlady’s Street terracing. The Park End terracing remained but was only used for big games. The reason for this dispensation was that the club were about to re-develop this end of ground anyway. This last development was completed in 1994 and the last standing spectators in Goodison Park were for the FA Cup 3 rd round game against Bolton in January of that year. The old stand was then pulled down in February and replaced by a single tire cantilever stand with a capacity of 6,000 and was opened 17 th September 1994.

This is actually quite an eye opener. (an 'eye opener' get that)
Burnley away 19.983
Fulham away 24,191
Pompey away 18,116
Bolton away 21,547
West ham 32,466
Man U 75,169
Hull away 24,685
Chelsea away 41,579
and then Sunderland.
So far our biggest gate has been 39,652 for the Liverpool game. So in 8 away games we have played before 3 larger crowds than our largest at Goodison this season. 10 aways to go.

planning permission was granted for a second tier, but Peter Johnson chose the cheaper option

Thanks for that, but am just looking for hard and cold numbers at the moment mate.

Bill was on the board though and I heard he hypnotised Johnson into not putting the second tier on, so really, its Kenwright's fault. As it was ever thus. Just what I heard like.

What facts do you want? Surely you can just wiki all the capacitys of Prem grounds? Im not sure what you want here.

Just looking for actual attendances (I know that's a bit soft with the Man U one in there) this season that have bettered our best home attendance in games involving us.
Then I can compare to the other actual highest attendances and see where we fit in the attendance league for the season.

Edit: I am wondering if we are being outstripped by 'certain' other clubs, Chelsea, ManU, are old news, as are Villa, Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal, so add Sunderland to that list and we sit eighth in my so far hypothetical actual attendance for this season league. (HAAL for short. 'daisy daisy...')
