Must be said we have some record against you. 14 wins and no losses in the last 19 games.

That should give me confidence, but if anything it makes me think you're more likely to turn it around against us.

Our record against Newcastle is poor but we pulled a win out of our arses, in some style too.

I'd like to end the hoodoo.. A lot of SAFC fans are confident of a win, can't say I share their optimism.

Cheers mate, appreciate it.

Aye I will do, can't stand the bloke. So what are all your thoughts on Newcastle? I get the feeling not many people like them
welcome mate, should be a good game after your result which i enjoyed, Newcastle arnt liked on here or any other Everton forum, list of reasons is to long really but we like to think of Everton as a bit old school footy fans, they are just sky fans in a nutshell a bunch of johnny come lately whoppers`along with villa as the dumbest scruffs in the prem, funny really as away from footy they are normally sound, but as soon as that shirt goes on they change, bit like superman in reverse, from human to bellend in one easy movement

I love this, I think you've got it spot on ;-) Not many clubs like them.

Welcome mate, congrats on your Derby win, very impressive indeed.

Thanks very much :-)

Hi everyone,

Always kept an eye out on this forum so I thought I'd finally sign up to gauge the thoughts of you Evertonians before tomorrow's game.

I hope I'm welcome

Cheers!

Always glad to have supporters of other clubs on here.

My two cents on the match:

Won't be easy for us and I could see us actually losing. I'm hoping for a 1-0 win but a draw or loss really wouldn't surprise me in the least.

I honestly can't call it, if you play like you did against Arsenal then you will make things very difficult for us. Our main threat is countering through Sess & AJ which worked to devastating effect on Sunday. When Baines gets forward I know the space he leaves behind will be attacked. I don't know how Moyes sets up though.. Does he have someone cover whilst Baines is off on one?

Distin .. he is still very, very quick and big. Johnson's best chance against him is standing him up and trying his trickery. Both Jags and Distin are quick, a foot race is not the best option for your forwards

Hello mate, nice to have you join us and congratulations on your derby win.

As for the above, Distin does a lot of covering back for Baines. The big frenchman is streets ahead of most other CBs in the prem and if he was five years younger I'd imagine we'd be receiving bids for him. Against Arsenal Moyes finally deployed Fellaini in his correct position and the amount of covering work he did in front of the back four was considerable - if he plays there again today I think we will go a long way to negating Sessegnon and Johnson, both of whom look very decent players.

Big fan of your new manager, seems an honest (if slightly bonkers) chap and he's been saying some intelligent things about Everton in the buildup. I hope you win all your remaining games, except today!

Well done today lad our achilles has always been teams "up for it", flaky as feck we are under pressure, Liverpool continually feck us over because of it and you did the same.

I like fellas who don't conform fingers crossed Di Canio wins something with you it gives hope to all outside the monied cnts plus I've got rellies in Durham and Shilbottle who are mackems.

Hello all, I've only just got home. I stayed out all night and then had to travel all the way down to York, eurgh!

Thoroughly enjoyed the day yesterday, it wasn't a great game of football but it was a great win for us. I thought Mirallas was especially poor for you which I was surprised at as he'd done well in the game against Arsenal.

Onto the next one though eh? I'm not one to gloat. I hope you go on to do well in your remaining games, proper club with proper fans that deserve to be in Europe.

On the train home I was talking to an Everton fan who said he's had one of the best experiences at the game, he went into a Sunderland pub and got cracking on with some of the lads, anyway they took him all the way from the pub to the away stand and then they walked back round to the home end. That's exactly how it should be - I said it was a credit to the city and to the club and its fans that and it made me proud. I'm pleased to hear that the majority of the Everton fans said they'd come back without a doubt.

All the best chaps.

Decent fans your lot. Had some good crack with them yesterday.

Have to say that the North stand is a bit tardis like though. A sunny warm day everywhere else in Sland but freezing and blowing a gale where we were. I suspect a cunning plan is in operation to freeze all away support to death.
