im conflicted today. im a blue and always want us to win BUT if we lose it could be 2 birds with one stone as surely it will have to be the final nail for Martines and we will see the barcodes slip through the trap door.

You're allowed to feel conflicted. If a heavy defeat means he's gone before Sunday so be it

If you know your history, you don't want Everton to go down to a whimper tonight. If there is one team who should be putting in a shift tonight it is us.

Regardless of what you think of Norwich and Newcastle, we owe it to both of those teams to go out and put everything into it.

In 1998 Chelsea had nothing to play for, zilch. They were playing against Bolton, who only had to better our result to stay up. The Chelsea team, with nothing to play for, turned up and won 2-0. If they had rolled over, we would have been down. Eternally grateful to that Chelsea team for helping us out, big time.

A year later we played at the Dell on the last day of the season. Can't remember the exact circumstances but we were safe with a few games to go and Southampton needed to win to stay up. I went to the pub with my Dad to watch it, a novelty watching an Everton game with nothing riding on it. We got absolutely battered, we didn't turn up. We were in holiday mode.

I thought it was a disgrace that the same players who benefited from Chelsea the year before would put in such a gutless performance.

Lets not do that tonight.

I honestly don't know what you are trying to make if TODAY would make the 'final nail' in his tenure.

These are going to throw the kitchen sink at us. In an ideal world we'd soak up the pressure and punish them on the counter with the pace and skill of Mirallas & Lennon...

We'll start strong, they'll get an early goal and we'll bottle it.

Dafoe to knock abar 4 past us.

just seen squad. really wanted to see dowell on bench and to actually get on this time. don't see the point in having ossie on there he's not mobile enough for premier league and he shouldn't be getting anywhere near our squad next year if we want to move forward...so why aren't we giving the next generation a chance?
