Spoke to several Sunderland fans after the game and they could not have been more magnanimous in defeat. Had pint at pub over the road from the ground and there was no hint of any trouble or animosity. Absolutely brilliant performance from the team - every one of them did their bit. Would like to apologise to Leon Osman for bits of stick I've given to him over the years and for doubting that Cahill could ever be the player he was again.Was at Swansea on Saturday also and it was such a joy to see the second half performance there repeated for the full 90 minutes last night.
