Since when is Mirallas getting sent off predictable...

His petulance was predictable. Sure, not the dangerous tackle to deliberately get himself sent off, but we all knew when he sulks (which is most of the time) he's prone to either doing something stupid or not doing anything at all on the pitch. In fact, it's rarer that we see Mirallas actually live up to his talent and play well these days.

Rather see us go back for the summer target in January and offload kev to make room/afford/cover the wages of them tbh mate now, pretty obvious to most he won't become a central player in Martinez's plans (rightly or wrongly) so can't see the point of having someone who could fetch upwards of 10-12m quid as a 2nd or 3rd at best option

But you agree it was a foul? Not arsed what the ref gave, he was brainless to make a pointless foul on a player going nowhere.
yeah it was a stupid foul no doubt, especially given the location and time of the match. however I don't think he deliberately tried to get sent off to anger martinez

Have a look at who liked your post, if that doesnt make you have another think, nothing will

Just finished watching the game as I was out earlier.
Terrible first half, terribly late subs. Kone, McCarthy and Lukaku shouldn't have been on the field anywhere near as long as they were.

Not impressed by Martinez at all for this game. Treated Swansea like they were Chelsea or City and tried to nullify them rather than beat them.

Defence played well, Galloway did very well as did Stones.
Got to disagree here. Swansea have good starts to games, therefore we nullified them in the 1st half. The second half was the most one sided away performance I've seen in ages. We were sound until the final ball and they had 1 chance in the second half.

Like the way we have adapted our style a bit lately, we are certainly playing through teams more at the minute with Barry and McCarthy looking short and helping build and Barry playing some nice forward passes. last year they were both not looking for it or passing sideways, I like the look of us this year, even without the leagues best 2 fullbacks

One away point is better than zero, wished it had been all three. Mirallas was a bit silly and probably regrets it very much now. Have to say though will he be missed while suspended? For me think not.

wow think you watched the wrong game or you just think we should play like Barca all the time.

Simply put if our Belgian lads had been on their game we would have won. Lukaku just had a Stu Barlow day at the office and Mirallas was stupid. Swansea have been superb at home this year so I still think we can take loads of positives from today.

Was playing footy myself so didn't see any of the game. From what I've read on here after the final whistle has lead me to gather that not a lot happened in the first half, we stepped it up in the second and missed a few good chances while defending well. Mirallas sub was too late but he's made a tit of himself (as have the people on here trying to blame Martinez for it). If you're frustrated then fair enough, but take it out by ripping 3 players and pinging one into the top bin, not that I've seen the tackle mind.

A point away at Swansea is decent as long as we build on it by staying in the hat for the cup and beating West Brom. I'm taking it as a positive that we're disappointed not coming away with all 3 points after the performance.

A funny game really, on one hand we played well and kept a clean sheet. On the other hand we dominated the game yet have only come away with one point. Personally I think we're still missing a 2nd striker, Kone is really no better than Anichebe. He's very good at running about and putting pressure on their defenders, but he's offers nothing up front. Naismith is very good at home games when defenders sit back and he can get in between the defence and midfield but he struggles away from home. Personally I think we should of got Jelavic back, he offers far more up front than Kone does and was available for a decent price this summer. Lukaku clearly wasn't going to do anything and it would of been great to have a decent striker to come off the bench for him. In my opinion Mirallas should have been brought on earlier for Naismith, the amount of times we got the ball on the left in lots of space was ridiculous.
