Are you by any chance the "Alec" who did not go to the game but rang up Radio Merseyside and said Everton were terrible and Schneiderlin was a disgrace or something worse than that? I ask because Schneiderlin had his best game for a long time and apart from Jags was one of our best players, receiving frequent applause from some. Not very popular I know but sometimes you have to abandon your agenda and give credit it was due if only for that day.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I really don't know what to expect from Everton any more. There have been games that you think we'll have in the bag, only to see us play like an under 11's Sunday league team. I feel we should have this 0-3, but I'll stick with 1-1 because we seem to like making hard work of things.

I'll be back to my unrealistic positive self for our next game
