Swimming.

Mrs Pat is big into wild swimming and has dragged me along to various lakes and disused quarry’s in North Wales and Cheshire. I absolutely hate the idea of the whole thing, but quite enjoy it once I’m in. But some of the lakes in Snowdonia are permanently freezing!

Good on you, but aren't you concerned about the deadliness pumped raw into the water?

Deffo more aware of the all the crap pumped into rivers these days.

Been a couple of times but I prefer swimming in lakes if I have to choose.

Our local beach seems to dodge it.

I could swim to save my life but I'd never do it for pleasure - not after the excruciating swimming lessons we had to endure as kids.
Afternoons spent shivering at the edge of vast Victorian baths being harangued by a psycho PT instructor was quite enough thank you!

I started swimming regularly after my parents died, and it helped me with my grief and gave me a six pack.

It's sorted out my physical side and mental health too,
Can't smoke in the sea either !!!

Jumped into Windermere last winter, Was a memorable experience.
