Switzerland v England

Rooney will probably get massive praise but his all round performance was very hit and miss, decision making was poor at times.

Gerrard played well, very classy and forward thinking performance. He plays on the edge, and when everything comes off he looks like a top quality player in that position, that his main problem really, he isn't going to pull off his Hollywood football week in week out, certainly not from that position, and better team's will punish you. Sometimes you've just got to put your foot on the ball and slow things down. But fair play to him, impressive performance.

Jagielka played well, dealt with everything he had to. I think he could do well at this level, he's mobile, quick on the turn and is a natural defender. Good to see him doing well.

Was impre4ssed with Rooney, Johnson, Gerrard and Swp when he came on - good to see D bent get of the mark.

England rode their luck certainly for me, the sending of was timely as England were on the rack, good away win.

But 6 Man City players - whats the world coming to.

From the mirror's player ratings:

Glen Johnson
Made strong run to the byline and provided a cross for Rooney's opening goal. Had a terrific long range shot. Good, strong display.
Rating: 8

1.) He was crap, as usual.
2.) Since when does having a shot, that doesn't lead to a goal in any way, become a good thing? Nay, a "terrific" thing?
