This lot linked would put us through the ringer. No question.

Are better options to them put off by the FFP situation though? The Saudis bought Newcastle presumably because they were in a good position to get in and make a difference by spending loads, as Ashley had starved that lot of investment.

I hope there's a buyer out there who look at the bigger long term picture for this club with a great fanbase and new stadium there to be developed to lead us into a new era.

I doubt a serious Sheikh would give 2 fs about FFP. Theyd treat it like Citys owners did-with complete derision.

That would be the real winner. PSG's owners want a club in the UK. Probably to play 2nd fiddle to PSG initially, but longer term, who knows.
I seriously doubt they will look anywhere other than London. If it happens it will be Tottenham or West Ham (they own the Olympic Stadium already afair).

Mericans are going to get the PL to develop their own global broadcast deal imo. Jib off Sky, BT etc etc, and do it themselves. $10.00 a month for any PL game you want to watch, with 100 million subscribers, worldwide, is a pretty attractive idea. As long as you get the clubs to agree, I guess.
If they pay them they'll agree.

There's always been lots of rumours about middle east cash and Everton. IIRC hairy hands Keys was saying a few weeks ago there was a Moshiri buyout from that neck of the woods.

He did. Bit of a knob that fella but hes clued on.

Cahill has been getting himself very involved. You wonder why?

Privately a well connected fella we both know said to me ages ago, Cahill wouldn't get involved with the current board, but in future, who knows.

I wouldn't be surprised if Qataris were looking at us. And Cahill would be earmarked for a central role.

That would be amazing

Possibly. But lots of competition in London. A club building a stadium, in a prime location, in a more untapped economic area could appeal. As City did.

Fingers crossed.

Your buying the media rubbish I see. They spent over 4 billion they have one of the large fan bases in the world, 2 weeks ago they descended on Liverpool roughly 500k of them and most of them had a replica shirt and all had a players name and number, kids as well. You go to Anfield on any day and there literally 100s of people there buying stuff, go to Goodison and your lucky to see a cat.
It's not media rubbish. They have a lot of money and also not as much as teams like City. It's just reality.

That's it.

Everton at this time make no sense for a vulture fund. We made some sense in 2016 for such a fund, but not now.

Yes which makes me think they could leverage debt, unless these lads are throwing 200 million a year into the club, they are cutting and cutting hard or raising debt onto the clubs books for finance, none of that will be going into the playing squad because it can’t. I don’t think a leaveraged buy out, or partly leaveraged is impossible, in fact it makes more sense than not. You’d be mad to invest your own money in us.

We’re speculating of course as we don’t know the detail of any deal, but I’d say it’s far from impossible, in fact I’m concerned.
