Tattoos

I appear to be the only person in the world to ever get one and never get another. I sort of regret it but not enough to be massively arsed about it and I mostly forget it’s there. It’s not even a bad one but I won’t get another.

I appreciate good tattoos but some of the seemingly random scrawls people I know are getting at the moment are a bit rubbish

I’ve got a few tattoos.
I spent hours looking for the right ones, couldn’t be arsed walking round with a generic sleeve like most people do these days.

Also, don’t get a tribal one.

Apologies if anyone has a generic sleeve or tribal ?

No I’m the same, I have to spend a while looking as you see so many go in and pick something off the wall that is generic.

I took in photos of oasis albums and chose bits I liked from each and had it all pieces together.

Want something done soon but ££££……

Yeah, quite a few but I designed all of them myself. I have a sleeve on one arm which has a dragon mixed with flowers and a shaolin monk, the coloured flowers represent the various belts/styles of martial arts I have done. On the other arm I have a big biomechanical thing (I'm full of metal plates and bars anyway) that goes shoulder to elbow. then on my right leg I have that done with 2 giant koi fish, one is full colour and the other is what they call a ghost fish to represent my dad who died when i was a kid.

They sound class!! The martial arts one is a great idea. I’ve been trying to think of a tattoo I can get in remembrance for my dad too, been stuck for a while though as I want to make sure I get it right

That is exactly what I’m talking about.

Girl I work with has a stag beetle on her arm, it’s really well done and if it was part of a piece done in the style of the Victorian flora and fauna type artwork you see it would look great.

Instead she’s got a stick man holding something like a kite, a “cut here” across the wrists and all sorts of other tat like that unevenly spaced over her arm and she just looks a bit daft

Don't the belts represent the martial arts that you have done? I mean the actual belts, not a tattoo of the belts.

Top 3 tattoos:

1) Tribal symbol at top of the arm. Typically adorning men wearing vests in mid 40s in small town pubs.
2) samurai and dragon theme sleeve tat. Typically sported by people who’s closest association with Asia is when they watched 30 seconds of a hentaii vid whilst browsing through pornhub.
3) small tattoo of dolphin/cherries on ankle. Commonly found on individual’s who went to Magaluff when they were 17 and hid it from their parents until they moved out.

Don't the belts represent the martial arts that you have done? I mean the actual belts, not a tattoo of the belts.

Oh sure they do, but not all martial arts have a belt system.

I've only got the one - an Everton one on my right arm.

I've always wanted more, and would love a sleeve on my left arm, maybe an inspirational quote that's defined my life on my lower right. But I've never really wanted a meaningless tribal one, so I've never found another I want.

Doesn't help that I've lead a boring and mundane life. One that doesn't really lend itself to an awesome set of tattoo's. And I couldn't exactly put "At least I tried" as an inspirational quote on my arm either.
