and that added what?

how long does it take for tattoos to fade? because eventually they do 'alter'

i saw a man once who had had his entire face tattoo'd, it was very perculiar, it was done in blue, almost like some abstract union jack design, a mate said to me at the time 'i hope he was really bladdered at the time'

i dont rate tattoo's, which is why i dont have one. i vandalise my body enough with lager.

There you are mate if you had wrote that then fair enough. Everyones different and life would be boring if we werent.

I cant stand those old guy tattoos that they did themselves- have gobe blue instead of black. Thats why mine are smaller as to maintain shape and colour.

i didnt want to sound derogatory, instantly cast a negative light on yours or anyone elses tattoos.

i was in town years ago, and a load of scum were comparing calf tattoos of a certain inbred crest. it was in mcdonalds (shame on me) and was at the time when that 'sort' thought untied rockport shoes, plaid socks with tracksuit bottoms tucked into them and then a variety of hoodie wear to finish off the ensemble was cool. jesters.

Different strokes for different folks.

Tattoos can mean many things, but they are no different then wearing certain colours. They are an image enhancer for yourself, they are also a declaration of your loyalty to a certain group. Be it a football club, nation, nazi organisation or the SAS.

Or films and bands in my case.
Some tattoos have deep meaning and are personal to the wearer only, others just look good.
And some look bloody awful but if its what soemone wants then its entirely up to them and no one else should judge.
As for them hurting, no way. Nothing more than a scratch that is sore for a bit.

Am I the only person in the world who cant think of one reason to get or even want a tattoo?

And Micknick, I dont want to be rude asking this, but Ive seen alot white guys with chinese symbols tattoos.

Why get chinese symbols? Of course you may have an affiliation with China, but whys it so popular with people who obviously arent chinese, and have nothing to do with China? I hope you dont think Im racsist or anything, I just always thought it was really ususual.

no, you are not the only one pal, I got one done at 17 and Jim gave me a thick ear, `called me all the vein and stupid titles you could think of, 20 years later he was right it cost a bomb to get the bloody thing removed, ex girl friends name

Tattoos are no big deal, of course they don't hurt. All you do is peel them off and then rub them in to your skin! silly people!
