Not really my thing, there are much better ways to express your feelings, creativity or whatever imho. But I feel some weird satisfaction when I see a nice tattoo and weird angriness when it's utter crap. It's going to be on your body forever lad, at least get a proper artist.

Some tattoos look really good but quite a lot just look like people are trying way too hard to be cool. That may just be because I'm an aussie and surrounded by bogans though

Why do folk without tattoos have a fascination about people with them? They are personal, so why is it any body else's business? To me it's just another form of art. The critical issues are researching and getting a good artist, making a considered choice of tattoo and location of the tattoo and not going cheap. Cheap tattoos are instantly regrettable, good tattoos with significance and meaning are not. I have a fair amount, all of which I drew so they are unique...they are a part of me and my life events. If you're one of those people whom don't like them that's absolutely fine, but don't have a preconception about people who have them.

I reckon it's great if you've got a meaning for them like you clearly have, it's just when I see lads getting BBQ tattoo'd on their ribs to impress their mates. There was a girl who went to my school who got a lawn mower tattoo'd by her pubes, you can't try and tell me that's got some hidden significance behind it or anything. Some of them are just plain stupid. But some of them, with significance and meaning to that person, are boss. Just don't be a divvy with it.
Yes, but also apart from small ones, medium ones and large ones. And henna ones. And those stupid little transfer ones with flags on them that people (Australians) wear to sporting events and on national holidays. Apart from those they are ok.
