It's already been addressed.. tea pot only comes out if the Queen is visiting, otherwise make it in a cup..

If my grandmother had heard you say such lunacy, you’d have got a smack around the back of the head as if it didn’t go in a tea pot it was uncouth.

We had a lad take over the tea club at work.
He was skimming and took to buying tea bags filled with tea dust. Bags fell apart when mixed with hot water leaving what looked like a cup of scum!
Motto is: always put a tea drinker in charge of tea club

I have lived in a few places in the UK - Lancashire - they never used teabags one teaspoon of loose tea or two - in the cup boiling water in the cup stir like mad then let it brew - they call it a Brew...

One of my workforce put that much in with sugar, the teaspoon stood upright in the middle of the mug,

I made my own ..... lol

Never really like the stuff. But for some reason me mar always offers me a cup when I go to see her and INSISTS that I used to drink it when I was very little and can’t understand why I no longer like it.

I went for 2 because it was the only civilised option, the one that didn't mention milk. Milk ruins the crisp refreshing nature if the ultimate beverage.

Same. But the look of bewilderment on people's faces offering you tea when you say 'black' - then you often have to go further and explain 'no milk!' You can see them registering you as some kind of psychopath.

Dreadful stuff, which is why my sister in law gets boxes of Yorkshire Tea sent over to LA on regular basis.

It`s actually cheaper to post it to her, rather than by it from the English shops over there.

They also serve it luke warm, the gun toting lunatics.

Easy now. I make a great cup of tea.
