I was down for the game on Saturday, whilst having a pint in the Wilmslow I was talking to a guy about the same age as myself, he had a Southern accent and I presumed he was a Hammers fan, he told me his mum and dad were from Sheffield and on his 8th birthday they gave him what they thought was an Owls football shirt, turned out it was an Everton shirt and he'd supported us ever since, over 50 years.

Whilst convalescing today, I have very slowly made around 2kg of chilli con carne. It's primed in the slow cook and I've a day at the hospital tomorrow all day, so it'll slow cook whilst I'm being messed about there and I can come home to a prime feast and then some.
Make it with this stuff amongst other things...

Soured cream and grated cheese, rice n chips. Can of lager.

Got to have a treat now and again.

Chopped tomatoes or no chopped tomato’s in the recipe?

Never chopped, always whole, and good authentic Italian (canned) ones at that. Used a whole large bulb of garlic as well. As it'll cook for 10+ hours, it'll be beautiful and really deep in flavour.
