Wow! Novak beats Alcatraz. Life in the old Serb yet.

Seems he had to push very hard to get through. He's 37 and it's cost him a retirement in the semi. Crowd on his back as usual.

He's not got the recovery he had, and so matches are costing him more and telling on his stamina as he goes deeper in the slams.

So far he's a one off for longevity, I doubt Alcaraz for instance goes to late 30's.

The treatment of Sabelenka and Djokovic has been abysmal...as per usual.
