Just make sure all your resorts are above 1000 metres - then the snowmaking should save you anyway. But you're right. It's nice to be on the outside looking in these days.

No boobs, monty, but if you want to see Zabine at her youngest and finest check out this youtube of Hubert von Goisern live with the Alpinkatzen (Alpine Cats). HvG kind of melded traditional Tyrolean folklore with a bit of rock - kind of a Billy Bragg - and the song they are playing you would hear all over the Tyrol.

Zabine is pretty much in the cameraman's eye the whole time (and why not?) but the yodelling starts around the 3.00 mark.

About 100 Euros, if I remember rightly (around $150?). Worth every penny when you are clearing snow, though!

Always the way with outdoor gear, unfortunately. Patagonia is 50% more expensive (if not more) over here as well.
