The rs chucked money at it a few years ago, took a fair few of our best players at the time.

They pulled the plug though on the investment and there were a few of their players slagging off the club about how they'd been treated.
yep, some players only found out via media etc that they have been let go instead of been told face to face, while others had contract renewals removed without been told, and a lot more

Would not go that far at all, The women's team have signed top Quality players [The men made a few], The Girls have had last seasons top 3 to play in the 1st 5 games - or top 4 in 1st 7, its just that the players were not used right - you dont sign the worlds best young player to attack then play her in defence as we did, or play someone who is a top quality centre defender in a wing back role as we did, so many errors were made by kirk-we basically beat the team's we should do and again have struggled v the teams we usually do -based on the same teams played at same grounds last season -we are actually 4 points up- but for some reason Kirk completely changed formations to play the better teams when those formations the players couldnt play or didnt like, yet he still went and did the same thing v the better teams
I get the impression that Sarvar Ismailov is just cutting his teeth , making contacts and generally proving himself before making a further step up the ladder. Getting Jean-Luc Vasseur on board must be regarded as a real coup if this proves a successful partnership which challenges the “ top 3” dominance it will be interesting to see if both eventually impact the men’s side.

Sarvar care's more about the Women's team than people may think, he is not using them to make that step up - though off course that may in reality happen in the Future, he goes mental when we dont win as you have seen with the odd little tweet etc over the weeks and went absolutely ballistic the 1st day when we lost at Goodison, Sarvar wants top 3 as he did with Kirk, but not sure if he still wants it now or next season, though as said a win for The Girls next week will leave them only 3 points off 3rd on saturday and maybe 4 on Sunday at worst depending on Results, Sarvar will have no problem getting rid of the new boss if he is not happy, in 2 weeks time we will have had last season top 4 in the 1st 7 games

Everton Football Club can confirm that Sarvar Ismailov has stepped down from his duties for personal and health reasons. He has resigned from the Club’s Board of Directors and the positions of Owner’s Executive Representative and Sporting and Commercial Director at Everton Women.

The decision was taken by Mr Ismailov and is effective immediately
