THE 2022/2023 EVERTON WOMENS SUPER LEAGUE & CUP GAMES

A home win looked nailed on at the start. Liverpool looked very average and were there for the taking. 1-1 seems a better result for Liverpool than Everton. Lucky with the disallowed goal. Odd game.

Great to see the attendance. LCFC season tickets are practically nothing and they play all games at the King Power. They made one game free before Xmas, I think if you took a child. They got 400 in. That’s the norm. All in one stand behind the goal. They may be crap, but there is absolutely no interest at all in the women’s team from the general Leicester fans. Weird how other clubs fans get into it just because it’s part of the club they love. 🤷‍♂️

George is soooo slow
Was at the game.

Seen the women play 3 times in the flesh now. First two times I've seen them she's played LWB and looked very comfy/solid. Tonight she seemed to be LW and was a complete fish out of water. Twitter seems to be raving about her for scoring - but it was a cross flapped in by the keeper. Other than that she was struggling at LW and constantly outpaced. Once she moved back to LB she was fine.

Not sure why Jess Park was playing CM either. Much better out wide.

Interesting game to watch, anyway. Both teams had spells and Liverpool probably had the best chances.

Listening to the post match comments on Sky from their coach, I do wonder if they have a media coach who teaches all their coaching staff.
You could take away all LFC badges from their kit, not introduce them and just from listening to them, you'd know who they work for. They possess a level of self entitlement not seen from anyone else. Unreal

Got the whole family to a match at Goodison for the first time on Friday. My first WSL match, too.

I was really impressed with the atmosphere, and the kids had a brilliant time.

I suppose the crowd is self-selecting in these fixtures, but I was pleased there was not even the slightest hint of any form of sexism - no patronising shouts, nothing but full-throated support.

Great attendance, too. I hope the derby continues to be played at Goodison, and then at the new ground.

Nicely done, Blues!

Loved the extra time winner - and then got a bit worried as Spurs had a couple opptys from free kicks at the very end of the end.

Blues looked in control through the match, only disappointment was not putting 3 or 4 goals on them. And that is definitely a VERY SMALL complaint.

I actually thought we started very well for the 1st 20mins then went a bit iffy the rest of the half - Gabby's shot which i don't know how close it looks like till the full game is on the player was actually very close to going in the far corner on about 15mins, 2nd half it felt like we were in control without really doing to much up top till the final 15 to 20 odd mins, when Jess went very close seeing her shot saved by the post which i actually thought had sneaked in, not long after Gabby headed over, before we do what we seem to do best this season and score late - but Aggie would be a starter every game for me.
