When the Buy out clause is met, you have no choice other than hoping the player says no - but she only had a year left on contract, but considering she and all her family are Man Utd fans, and she lives in Manchester, it was always going to be a yes. What people dont know as it was never reported anywhere, is she actually put in a Transfer Request just after Sorensen arrived last year, which was on the table for 6 weeks, but at that time not a single team bid or matched the buy out clause, and she then had a change of mind - Everton have the 2nd lowest Budget in the WSL behind only the newly promoted Bristol City
I thought we had a budget but I guess the ownership is
I know mate but at least she's getting a quality move out of it so gotta wish her well. So difficult to challenge those top 4 places so it's a breath chance for her to compete for trophies.
I'll be rooting for her probably get in england squad now aswell

Sad we're selling our best women's player now, seems like our selling is not just restricted to the men 😕
As said, we had no choice if its part of her contract sadly - and you always take a chance she left for nothing anyway, even if they didnt match buy out clause

The Women's budget is low, and obvioulsy was made even lower this season, Sorensen is working wonders and has had players training in 2/3 postions, does not mean they will all come off, but nothing else he can do. He is a boss that like's to train players and likes to teach them how to play really, instead of buying his way out of trouble. Thing is the Girls had lots of Injuries last year and if the same thing happens again - it will be hard as we have a few less players now to last year, The odd player from the u21s Team (which now wont exist this season, are with the main team), while some have left while others are on "dual deals". and i am almost certain Gabby will be in the England team soon and would not be surprised to see her named in October just becuase of this move

Everton have not actually said officially that Toni Duggan is staying either, she signed a new short deal a while ago that we never said, so not sure if she will sign a new one when that ends

The Girls put in an excellent perfomance v Man City today, but went down to a late defeat conceding 2 the last 10mins in a 4-3 defeat v Man City Women, Piemonte Header and Nico with 2 our scorers when we say it

Everton conceded 2 in the 1st 14mins and it could have been more, while we also hit the bar mid 1st half, But 2nd Half Everton were very good and were unlucky in the end not to get a draw,
