I laugh when FIFA suggests the MLS go to an August-May schedule. There are teams in Boston, Columbus and Chicago, they wouldn't be able to play from December through February.

Horrible winters make me appreciate summer so much more.

And yes, Brownie, Mario Lemieux is who got me interested in ice hockey. I was 7 or so when he arrived in Pittsburgh. You don't often get to follow a player like that for your own team, it's like watching a Pele, Cruyff, Zidane etc. every day.

I couldn't believe it, I didn't think those parts actually got cold. I was lucky in that I picked up my Everton hoodie just before I got in the taxi to the airport. I'd left a really light jacket (which I bought solely to have on a warm day in case it got cool in the evening) ready & only picked up the hoodie because it's comfier & I thought I might take advantage on the plane.

It was a bit cold in parts of the airport but I didn't go outside & thankfully Florida was a decent temperature

It's the fear of nasty winters that keeps the population here in check. Can get downright nasty though. Guess you just get used to it. I know its spring when I start seeing kneecaps under skirts - happy days.
