I bet they had parents that paid a lot of money supporting them, it’s pay to play for their clubs their whole life. I played hockey, basketball, American football, baseball every sport. That my mom helped fund and bring me to every practice and event with the money she had after my dad died. She really loved me and I want to make her proud.

So if you were any good at sport you surely would've turned professional in one of those?

No one likes a braggart mate, especially one who can't back it up. Tim Howard's Dad was a truck driver who left the family when he was very young, he was raised by his mother who worked in a factory, not exactly the privileged upbringing you're claiming is a requirement for a Yank to make it in the Prem.

I am damn proud of my accomplishments even if I wasted time with depression. I live by cliches and statements like excuses sound best to the people that make them. Tim focused on soccer his whole career. Being a soccer keeper wasn’t my end all be all dream most of my life.. I also wanted to fly airplanes. Be involved in my local government. Be a noble stand up gentleman. Have a son. I don’t need to explain my journey it’s clearly not for you mate. You guys just love to hate.

Yeah that too. There’s so many paths we can try and choose in life but it seems like the deck is stacked against us and we only get one road to go on. Nepotism goes a long way in a lot of peoples success.
