same year so may as well bump this instead of creating a new thread.

Would any of you lids go with carberry now? still plenty of time for others to stake a claim, but i thought he was harshly dropped and root was moved up way too early.

Get carberry back in and push root back to 6. Too early to decide on the 4th bowler but i'd go tremlett at this point in time. Not going to start on aussies because none are good enough

I think Carberry has played his way in, at least it puts the nonsense about crompton to bed, he isnt good enough

I think Shane Warne likes to hear Shane Warne's voice a lot personally. In saying that, he was asked the questions and gave his honest opinion, but he does like the rattle on.

Root's scored all his runs in county cricket as an opener, so I wouldn't pick him as a number 6. The only reason the idea is being entertained is because England don't have a class number 6, and that's not fair on Root, who will go on to be as good as Cook in his career if they just leave him alone.
