McBain

Player Valuation: £80m
The spiritual home of the game and its 0-0 so far.

England have alot of man hair to grow before they can step up to the Aussie testosterone level, can they make the right choices and pick the right side and for KP, the right shot.

Australia on the other hand have to learn when to bang the nail in and not bend it like when you hit it on a skewed angle, rendering it useless.

Commentators are just abit boring, there's no Ritchie, Slats, Bill, Tony and Tubby to guide us through the hours, just beefy, some yorkshire guy, nasser, sleep inducing mike Atherton with the only comfort Holding's silky tones.

The crowd should pick up this time around, lets see some cleevage at least from the wandering lenses of the cameramen.

Aussies to go 1 up.

Atherton is the only one on sky who talks sense the rest of them are tossers tbh, just wish they'd get Bob Willis back on the commentary team instead of the deadly dull Hussain.

Cant (and it pains me) see an England win this time out so while it just isnt in my blood to say before a game an Aussie win i'll go for the draw.

Atherton is the best comentator on English Cricket . He may be monotone , but he talks sense He's also educated to an immense level when compared to his compatriots in the box . We HAVE got Richie over here , McB . Though only for the Saturday of each test , and only on a 45 mins highligh show . Ch5 , if you can internet - it .
As for the game , the last tme we beat the Aussies at H.Q. , Bradman was playing .
I'm saying , rain for 2 days . Another draw .
P.S. I'm going to the two tests after Lord's , so I hope so .
P.P.S. I was there on Richie's last day of Commentary in U.K. Oval 05 . Seen him on the concourse .
It was like David Beckham . There was THAT many heads trying to grab a word .
Leg' .

Sorry, fan of the entire commentary team at Sky. Think they're great.

And we'll beat you, and end the 70 years without a Lords Ashes win.

I agree i think the commentary team are great and that we'll win this one, i know its been a long time since winnin the aussies at lords, but it can be and will be done.

Sky's commentary team went down the pan when they lost Mark Nicholas to channel 4 years back (Athers excluded),
Botham was a cricket god as a player but he can hardly string two words together,
Gower looks uninterested,
Lloyd is funny i'll grant you that but to me while he wears his heart on his sleeve it doesnt make for good commentary,
Hussian just drones on and on and on and on and on about "the boyzzzzz" and frikken 2005 he's the worst of them by a long shot.

I wont however include Micheal Holding he's another man who talks sense and at times has been massively harsh on the West Indies team when the need has arose also he just talks common sense about cricket in general.

I miss Ritchie Benaud brilliant comentator indeed he was the man back in the day with Jim laker when it was shown on the beeb but i guess time has caught up on the great man.

Boycott is another bloke who talks common sense along with Ray Illingworth they know the game inside out even though they're getting on a bit,its a shame we dont see more of them.

Having got that off my chest i would say who needs the sham of a game called 20/20 cricket? mickey mouse crap test matches have been and always will be the best form of the game.

Totally agree with that. Mark Nicholas is/was good, sensible analysis. Lloyd can be hilarious at times, Athers is OK. Apart from that the personalities are non-existent.

The class act of all time was the Benaud/Laker partnership, late 70's early 80's.

I agree with that, but do test cricketers agree (particularly West Indians)?

We are going to whipe the floor with you Poms. This time MJ will be firing as no doubt he would have been working extremely hard in the nets over the last few days. Also I have no doubt Hussey will be out there to score runs and we haven't really seen Phil Hughes deliver yet even in the practise matches so he'll no doubt be looking for blood.

P.S Extremely looking forward to seeing what [Poor language removed] shot KP dishes up next.
