For what it’s worth, I didn’t mean all of their 18 individually are better than all of our 18. If that’s how it’s interpreted, that’s not what I meant.

What i meant was, as a collective, as a new manager coming in, looking at both sets of squads, at the start of this season when I said it, before DCL came alive, before they broke Haller, Anderson, Yarmolenko, Fabianski and Diop and before Wham as a team fell off a cliff, I’d have chosen their squad over ours because I believed, at that time, it had marginally better potential.

Hey Cookachoo, that unveiling must have hurt, but hopefully arguing tediously about last year's West Ham squad for 12 more weeks will see you through these troubling times

Excellent advice, I’ve gradually learned that on here, sometimes you need to over explain things to get your point across and to avoid misrepresentation.
