I think it depends how they structure the money. Forbes and Skysports said that a TV deal for this new league could be over $470m per season, currently the Belgian league get $122m and dutch league gets $95m, so each team will get an increase, under the new deal and if they create a league below the Beneliga for the other teams from Belgium and Netherlands top leagues, that could generate its own money and get payments from the big league.

Eredivisie: Belgian clubs vote in favour of cross-border league with teams from the Netherlands
Belgian Pro League clubs have voted in favour of merging with teams from the Netherlands Eredivisie to form a cross-border league called the BeNeLiga; critics say any such move would favour big teams; no formal proposal has been unveiledwww.skysports.com
This may prove more difficult than you think due to BREXITI could see a great weekend break involving 3 games and lots of drinking, hopping back and to across the border and grabbing a few beers![]()

Are there really top Scandinavian teams? What do we reckon on the potential for a future Atlantic league? (Including Celtic/Rangers, top BeNe teams, top Scandinavian teams). This makes the question more interesting- firstly Dutch and Belgian’s would probably be fine with this new set up, but it also makes the possibility for more cross border leagues more realistic.

At the moment it are the Belgian clubs that are pressing ahead with the idea. They seem desperate to push this through. The Dutch clubs want more time to explore this whole BeNeliga thing.
Also the collective fans association from the Dutch clubs are very much opposed to the whole idea. They're afraid of losing their identity and also Belgian football is notorious for its corruption and scandals.
As a live long fan of one of the smaller outfits in the Eredivisie (with quite big ambitions though), I obviously are very reserved about these plans, as they're normally just a way for the bigger clubs to get bigger and more wealthy.
Also not sure how Ajax will vote on this. Think their ambition is that European Super League. Joining the BeNeliga, would probably see them earn a bit more money, but as for having more competion? Mwah, I honestly believe they'd run away with that league too.
Celtic and Rangers only hope is merging with England really isn’t it?
Rangers missed a huge trick not starting in England when they went bang a couple of seasons ago.
How can Celtic and Rangers be included in leaves with Norway/Sweden/Denmark (arguably, are there even any competitive teams anymore? Rosenbørg, Göteborg were the giants, but Malmö and Molde aren’t really the competition they’re hoping for.
Why would Belgium and Netherlands include them? It’s a fraction of money their clubs won’t get then.
Historically, massive clubs with huge fan bases, and if that was a metre then sure, get them in the top league, but still think they both missed a trick not going from the bottom of the English Pyramid and working their way up, if Rangers would have done so, and earned promotion every year (which is entirely plausible), they could have achieved 8 promotions and actually reached the top flight.
Great you’ve finally won the league, but would you rather use your fanbase and history to try and grow your brand and try to test yourself in England or compete in a two horse race every season?
With the sponsorship Celtic and Rangers could attract they would be a lot nearer the top 4 than the bottom 4 in the PLThe trouble with Rangers and Celtic coming into the English league system would be what happens if they aren't up at the top end? Coming mid or lower table in England would soon become much more boring than battling it out between themselves for a Scottish title.
Add into the mix the possibility of no European games and it becomes even less appealing. A trophy winning Scottish side competing in Europe is a stronger brand than being Burnley.
The constant propositions of Euro super leagues all fall down on the same criteria. It all sounds very exciting until you realise your side is coming 15th every season instead of going for a title.
