The reason I asked was that I keep reading that most, if not all, of Europe want England to lose, but my colleagues and family who I've asked say otherwise.

Yes, thee are many who do but there's a lot who don't; there's a lot who are ambivalent and couldn't care less.

Thing is, most genuine football fans over here. And with that I mean the die hard club supporting ones, not the international bandwagon jumpers, are big admirers of the English game. And with that, I don't mean the Premier League alone, but all the way down the pyramid.

Myself and I know lot of others, love the experience of watching English footy. I've always been an Anglophile, for as far back as I can remember. Don't really have that connection with your national team, but still, as said, I prefer that over a country I don't really feel a (footballing) connection with.

It's the (minority) moronic England following support, that puts others off I guess.
