The Bryan Oviedo fanboy thread

lot to love. no diva attitude, worked hard for his chance. when presented with it, while we were wringing our hands "what will we do without Baines?", he grabbed the opportunity. As a young Evertonian, his goal at Old Trafford is up there with Naisy's against Chelski as my most memorable. I banged the coffee table and shouted so loud my dogs thought our house was under siege.

horrid injury that cost not only his BPL season, but thrashed his shot at repping his country in the WC. might completely derail the weak-willed, no, not him. smiled the whole time. busted his ass beyond belief to recover, smiling all the way. (never mind posing for pics with kids at Goodison)

the fact he referred to the kit as "Beautiful" and apologized for losing a match we didn't need a result from... class. He wants to send each and every one of us Blues home with a huge grin each and every time out, even when it doesn't count.

in an increasingly diva professional athletic environment, gotta love the underdogs who bust their ass, smiling all the way and glad for each chance they merit, and the opportunities it affords them.

iVamos Oviedo!

Nearly finished his third season at the club. Have we worked out if he's any good yet!?
20 appearances but with that leg break. He Is 25, so sooner rather than later, if he's given the opportunity, he needs to give Martinez some food for thought.

Maybe if every player had the attitude , effort & heart he as we might be a bit better off point wise. Not the best player by a long way but at least he gives his all

Oviedo had waited patiently for his chance.
So patiently and so quietly it looked as if maybe he wasn't good enough or wasn't going to get a chance.
But when it did come he took it with both hands.
It really was going to be impossible to let him out of the team because of his form and I think that other positions were
being considered for him. I would say that we are nearly back at that stage now , but it will probably be next season before he is 100%.

I think some people underestimate the severity of his injury and recovery time both physical and mental.

There probably still is a question mark hanging over his mental recovery.

He was fantastic last season before his injury, really impressed how his recovery has gone and he's done well in the side if not as yet hitting the heights of last year, however I think we will see the best of Bryan when he has had a proper pre season this summer,I hope so anyway as he seems one of the good guys:)
