Pile of s*** as always. Most noticable is alcohol duty raised by 2%. So the country is going through a bad time and we can't even have a bit of cheap bev at the end of the week to forget our troubles and let our hair down.

Up until today Labour still had my vote, not anymore (n)

They need to get shut of that stupid VAT cut, and just lower the bleedin income tax. I'd rather have more money too spend, than buy goods about half a penny cheaper.

Get moyes in, he can work on shoestrings!

TBH, I cant remember a budget when i turned round and thought "ooh well that was nice of them"

To conclude:

Budget = less money and more people doing crack as an alternative to going out.

Anyone who votes the Tories in has a short memory.

Just one look at that Cameron beaut tells you all you need to know, plus the fact he's one bad little posh boy snide.

He's a public schoolboy bully, the worst kind of snide imaginable. I would like to poke that ****** in the eye, with a sharp pencil.

It's as bad over here. At least you don't have fascist feckers sitting in the government. Nobody really picks up on that in Europe. Oh, lovely Denmark - isn't it liberal? No, only if you want to show sex on TV. Their politics are dirty, man. The Danish Folk party. Hmmm.

I'm fuming. Where's Cal?

i actually think this country needs a recession, to show people you can't have everything you want, bang it on a credit card and worry about it later. this country is full of people who expect things to be given to them on a plate, and i think we need a couple of years where people have to actually realise the value of things.

we are a bunch of soft****e in this country. 90% of the world goes to bed hungry and we're arsed if it costs a small percentage more to fill up our massive cars.

Wish I could rep this. 100,000,000% agree. Little public schoolboy Thatcherite.

I was going to scrap my car next month when my insurance runs out, now i think i'll hang on to it until their new £2,000 scheme kicks in

The budget is boss.

They're all as bad as each other. Remember this is the government that has sleazed at every turn. I mean it's only this week that a cabinet minister has been watching porn on the taxpayers budget. We've had manifesto promises broken, lies over Iraq, burying bad news and all manner of sleazy behaviour.

The thing is the Tories won't be any better. Power corrupts. It's not a Labour thing, it's not a Tory thing, it's a human thing. This is why I dislike big government so much. At least if a company chief gets selfish, a) you usually have a choice to spend your dosh elsewhere, and b) he only controls a small part of your life. Government controls a big fricking part and you have no choice at all.

It's not a good system at all but people defend the models they know, hence why so many on here bash the Tories, probably without knowing why they do. It's just the done thing isn't it.

There are generally two types of reasoning. One type involves you having a conclusion and then finding reasons to support that. The other involves starting with an empty slate and building up the best solution using the evidence in front of you.

I feel that in politics too many do the former rather than the latter.
