They're all as bad as each other. Remember this is the government that has sleazed at every turn. I mean it's only this week that a cabinet minister has been watching porn on the taxpayers budget. We've had manifesto promises broken, lies over Iraq, burying bad news and all manner of sleazy behaviour.
The thing is the Tories won't be any better. Power corrupts. It's not a Labour thing, it's not a Tory thing, it's a human thing. This is why I dislike big government so much. At least if a company chief gets selfish, a) you usually have a choice to spend your dosh elsewhere, and b) he only controls a small part of your life. Government controls a big fricking part and you have no choice at all.
It's not a good system at all but people defend the models they know, hence why so many on here bash the Tories, probably without knowing why they do. It's just the done thing isn't it.
There are generally two types of reasoning. One type involves you having a conclusion and then finding reasons to support that. The other involves starting with an empty slate and building up the best solution using the evidence in front of you.
I feel that in politics too many do the former rather than the latter.
Some really brilliant points there mate, really good.
I agree on the fickleness of the voting public but the Tory thing us this way is a historical thing, most can relate to the hardship suffered under Thatchers years and that mud has stuck. It will take a generation or two to rid of that stigma of voting Tory, and to be honest that prick Cameron will not resonate with your average working class voter up North.
I agree though, its a futile exercise as theyre clearly bad as each other.
The only thing that bothers me, as a non voter, is that theres no working class option, left of the centre where the Labour party used to occupy.
