The Dead Thread

Some strange comments on here from fans of a predominantly Irish Catholic club. :coffee:
Leave that out. It's neither needed nor wanted.

It is not a predominantly Irish Catholic nor Protestant club, this is not the 1950's, nor is it Glasgow.

The club was formed from a Methodist church with a C of E church in the corner of the ground. Neither EFC nor LFC are religiously biased.

Further discussion of this will lead to anything other than needless aggro so that'll be all.

End of.

To be fair. McGuiness and Paisley got on very well in Paisley's later years. Ian Paisley Junior said yesterday that as a Christian he believed it wasn't where a man started but where he finished his life that was important. Whatever your views on the IRA and Martin McGuinness' part in it, there is no denying he was a big part of the Good Friday agreement and the peace process in general.

Yep, sworn arch enemies became friends and Ian Jnr was generous in his comments yesterday. Reading some of the bile spouted on here from people who know nothing about reconciliation would make you weep.

Are you kidding? You pick that post of mine up to publicly condemn whilst letting those disgusting statements above go uncommented upon?

No mate they were formally warned and threadbanned.
Well, I stand corrected and salute you.

But my post was made as tongue in cheek and designed to take the heat out of the building animosity in the thread believe it or not, so it's a kick in the bollocks to have it pulled up.

Sad news about Ronnie Moran. It grated and baffled me how those Liverpool teams were so successful but looking back it's obvious how important the likes of Moran and Joe Fagan were. Came across as a good fella and was the equivalent of Colin Harvey in many ways. RIP

Fine head of hair, terrible band.

DRUMMER SIB HASHIAN COLLAPSES, DIES ON ROCK CRUISE SHIP

Boston Drummer Sib Hashian Dies On Rock Cruise Ship

Sib Hashian -- the drummer for the rock group Boston -- died after collapsing onstage Wednesday night ... TMZ has learned.

Sib's son, Adam, tells us the drummer was on the Legends of Rock Cruise and was midset when he suddenly collapsed. A witness says CPR was performed and a defibrillator was used but to no avail.

The L.O.R. Cruise began on March 18 in Florida and had stops in several places including Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. We're told the cruise will continue and other musicians are performing tributes to Sib on the boat Thursday.

The drummer -- who donned an EPIC afro in the early days of his stellar career -- was famously part of Boston's self-titled album, which featured the mega-hit "More Than a Feeling."

He was 67.
