The Dead Thread

I went to see him at the Phil 4/5 years ago , great show even though it was obvious the disease was taking it's toll.Incredibly talented bloke and leaves behind a great legacy, this one has me filling up even before this news

Glen Campbell there.

81. Alzheimer's.

Known as a terrific musician long before he became a star. Hard to explain to these young scruffs just how big Glen Campbell was back in the day. First call studio guitarist who worked his way up because he could play any style and get it right first time/each time. His real surprise was how good his golf game was - most guys who can play that well don't have time to build a great golf game, but this guy could seriously play in both venues.

RIP. Another legend gone.

RIP Les

He also had a part time job as Blue Bill's stunt double on transfer deadline day each year.

What a great singer Glen Campbell was.

...Glen Campbell continues to live on via my I-pod. I've always liked his music, Wichita Lineman is a particular favourite although he and Jimmy Webb penned many great songs. RIP fella.

Defo his best song.
