Was quite surprised with how the BBC News covered Paul Daniels, normally they eulogise one of their own, because they want to promote that person's achievements as really being BBC achievements. But the coverage last night talked about Daniels not being to everyone's taste, how he could be narky and also mentioned Daniels' sleeping with hundreds of women and him not knowing for sure that all of them were over 16.

Daniels came across as a nasty little control freak, who was majorly up his own arse.

On the way to the first all Merseyside cup final, a tranny van load of us had the pleasure of bumping into him and Debbie at a motorway services on the M6 and bombardiing them with rubbish out of the van. Normally it's the type of thing I'd look back on and feel ashamed, but funnily enough I never did !

What made it worse for him, was that they were in a convertible and all the rubbish went in the car too. Plus other people were applauding us !

Barry Hines who wrote the book A kestrel for a knave that later became Kes, he also did the rather good Threads in 1984 about the build up to and aftermath of a nuclear attack, I think this changed a lot of people views on the subject. For those who haven't seen it link below.
