I have some conflicting feelings about those Australian guys who were killed today. On the one hand they knew the laws and their actions in smuggling drugs could have potentally ruined many, many lives had they gotten away with it.
On the other hand, was it necessary to keep them banged up in jail only to kill them a decade later? Must have been absolute agony for their families.
By all accounts they were remorseful for their actions and had really been rehabilitated in prison, giving lectures, doing paintings and becoming a talented painter, helping others, etc.
I guess we can't slate Indonesia for killing them, after all it's the law there and it was just being followed, but maybe a swifter sentence should have been carried out.
I read they'll have had the option to stand or kneel in front of the executioners, and had the choice to wear a blindfold or not. I know of it were me I'd have taken the blindfold and got down on my knees, ain't no way I'm watching twelve fellas fire bullets into my body.
