Very sad. Seemed Iron Maiden really did him wrong way back when though history will remember him fondly for those two albums and of course you can't question the decision based on what Maiden went onto become. To me (and what do I know) he always came over as being more likable as a general bloke than Bruce Dickinson....Ruined by drugs, drink and bad decisions but by god, those first two Iron Maiden albums are classics.

Sad news, much preferred Bruce as the singer but the first 2 albums with Paul were great, more punky style rock, one of my fave tracks featuring Paul was this.
Might also be in a minority but thought the two with Blaze Bayley were decent too. Especially given where the band were heading at that time as the couple after Seventh Son were clunkers in my opinion. Sorry off topic, and RIP Paul D.....Oh I always preferred the first two, especially Iron Maiden, very raw and very real.
