A great character actor who appeared in many films and tv plays, I liked him in a film I’ve watched many times, along with many others I bet, 12 Angry Men, a great film.

Alastair Down the racing journalist has died at the age of 68. Made Channel 4 racing 1000 times better with his wit and insight. RIP

I did not know his daughter was one of the victims of the Tower Bridge knife attack a few years ago. According to his friends and colleagues he never recovered from that loss. Makes his death even sadder, to me.
