Classic. Contrarian to the last.

Even when we are good, they better us. Even when they are bad, we endeavour to be worse. We never get the rub of the green, and we haven't the quality to hurt their mediocre defence, or the defence to stop their relentless attack.

I no longer watch or attend Derbies, and I've sold my ticket even before today, as the reward of a scant Derby victory is not worth the pain of sitting through another painful defeat, watching them gloat. I will get just as much pleasure in hearing the result and watching the highlights afterwards if we somehow manage to do the improbable, but I will feel much worse sitting through the inevitable defeat.

People may say its cowardice, but I like to think that if Everton had ever shown me any reason to believe, I would be far more inclined to take the rough with the smooth. And it's not like our players show any kind of bravery to inspire it in me.

When people say our board send a message of mediocrity by appointing Allardyce, or indicating we may go for a 50k seater stadium, maybe if we all decide not to attend the Derby, the so called prestige game of the season, It would be an interesting message to send back.
 

Can only hope to City second leg is all to play for with them (which hopefully they will of course lose).

I think Klopp may rest a few if he thinks they are still in with a good chance.

We’d still bottle it though.

We haven't won the second league derby in a season since 1988 and haven't won one where both teams have scored since 1995. Must be the most one sided derby on earth this one.Our record has been awful in it since the War.

I cba looking it up but I remember someone on here posting that it is one of the most one sided derbys' in Europe. Apparently Espanyol have a better record against Barca than we do against the RS.
